Trips and Residentials
School trips are some of the most exciting and memorable parts of a child’s school journey! Whether it's a visit to a castle, a day at the seaside, or exploring a science museum, these adventures bring learning to life in the most fun and engaging ways. Suddenly, history isn’t just in a textbook - it's a towering fortress with secret passageways! Nature becomes an open-air classroom, and science turns into hands-on experiments and eye-opening discoveries.
But it’s not just about what children learn - it’s also about who they learn it with. School trips are brilliant for building friendships and creating strong bonds between classmates. Sharing a coach ride, packed lunches, and new experiences helps children develop confidence, teamwork, and a real sense of belonging.
These are the days they will remember, laugh about, and talk about for years to come - fun, friendship, and learning all rolled into one unforgettable adventure! School trips are more than just a day out - they are formative experiences that support holistic development and create cherished memories for years to come.

Residential Trip for Year 6
The Year 6 residential visit is a highlight of primary school and an unforgettable adventure for pupils and teachers alike! Spanning three days and two nights, this exciting trip is packed with fun, active, and engaging activities designed to challenge, inspire, and bring the whole class together. From zip-lining and climbing to team-building games and campfire evenings, every moment is full of energy, laughter, and discovery. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and grow in confidence.
Teachers join in the fun too, offering encouragement and sharing in the experience, which helps strengthen the bond between pupils and staff. Being away from home, often for the first time, also encourages independence and resilience in a supportive, safe environment. The Year 6 residential isn’t just a trip - it’s a celebration of the end of primary school and a chance to make lifelong memories with friends before the next big step to secondary school.
The Year 6 residential is always a much-anticipated adventure, and our previous trips to Robinwood Activity Centres in Wales have been nothing short of amazing! Packed with exciting challenges like canoeing, climbing, and team-based problem-solving, these trips have given our pupils unforgettable experiences, boosted their confidence, and brought the whole class closer together.
Looking ahead to 2025/2026, we’re thrilled to be heading to the Pete Rigg Outdoor Training Centre in Pickering for our next residential! With three days and two nights of outdoor fun, teamwork, and personal growth, it promises to be another incredible opportunity for Year 6 pupils to bond, build resilience, and celebrate their final year of primary school in style. With teachers joining the adventure too, it’s a perfect mix of fun, friendship, and learning that leaves lasting memories.
