INTENT 

At St Stephen's we ensure that there is a languages curriculum that progressively develops listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. We enable children to embed, apply and deepen their knowledge of Spanish  in a variety of contexts with the aim of laying the foundation for future language learning. 

We encourage participation and confidence within the subject; we strive to stimulate and encourage curiosity about language whilst providing regular opportunities to engage through conversational work, singing activities and games.

Our aim is for all children to leave St Stephen's with an excellent knowledge of Spanish vocabulary, an exposure to written Spanish and, hopefully, a love of language!
